Jantek is a manufacturer and installer of high-quality vinyl windows and patio doors and has been in business for 30 years.  All operations are in our 75,300 square foot facility in Medford, NJ, and we are seeking individuals to fill several full-time, hourly positions in our factory. Selected candidates will operate various machines and equipment in the factory fabrication and assembly of vinyl windows and patio doors.  We operate four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday. 

Occasional paid overtime may be required on Friday and Saturday.  Key manufacturing assembler functions include, but are not limited to:

• Glass Cutting
• Integrated Glass Unit (IGU) Assembly
• Vinyl and aluminum extrusion cutting and processing
• Vinyl Extrusion Fusion Welding
• AccuBond Color Processing
• Window Assembly
• Patio Door Assembly
• Screen Assembly
• Packaging
• Material Handling and Forklift Operation

Compensation is commensurate with existing skills and experience.  There is excellent opportunity for advancement and increase in compensation which is based upon employee’s mastery of job skills, certification in the various job functions, and overall job performance.

Job Classifications

Assembler In Training (New Hire– 90 Day probationary): Employee trains on various assembly and manufacturing tasks. During this period employee must demonstrate aptitude and proficiency in assigned tasks as well as compliance with all other company policies.

Assembler:

Employee is proficient in performing one or more assembly tasks as directed under supervision.

Assembler Specialist: 

Employee is proficient in performing at least 2 key manufacturing tasks and other assembly tasks.  Includes understanding all manufacturing work instruction  documents and coordinating workflow from and to other work areas through their area(s) of responsibility without supervision.

Job Requirements

• Must be able to understand and follow verbal instruction and direction
• Must be able to read, understand and follow written instruction, bills of materials, safety policies, and employee handbook
• Must be able to view and understand drawings of parts and assemblies
• Must be able to quickly and easily read a ruler or tape measure resolving to 1/16”
• Must be able to perform simple mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Must be able to stand for 10 hours per day in performance of job duties
• Must be capable of using basic hand tools and power tools
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds when required
• Pre-employment physical required
